It was a sad, but happy day, today. We commemorated the life of my Mother at Milton Abbey under a bright sun and in beautiful school grounds. I am most grateful to the school and many others for all the work this week to prepare for the event. Family and many friends attended a packed Abbey, where he enjoyed some wonderful hymns and listened to readings, an address, prayers and the eulogy from my brother. Afterwards, we moved a short distance to the buildings next to the Abbey for the reception, where chocolate brownies were clearly a big favourite! The conclusion to a busy week, where we finally said farewell to a remarkable mother and woman who we all miss enormously.
