A cold morning run and into the House. Routine morning and then into the Chamber for PMQs. Nothing especially scintillating today. At 1345 it was time for the weekly meeting of the European Scrutiny Committee, which was held in private. There's a lot going on behind the scenes, as you'd imagine. And of course EU regulations continue to pour in! After a vote just after 1600, many of us attended a meeting of the ERG. Again, this was held in confidence. Government business ended at about 1630, after which I remained at my desk working on constituency matters to the evening.
