Another atrocity and nine more innocent victims. They were murdered by a gunman in the German town of Hanau last night. The attack is being treated as a terrorist incident. A number of the victims are reported to be of Kurdish descent. My deepest sympathy extends to family and friends. How sad that we find ourselves having to say this at all. On better news, Dorset Council has won some money for broadband and the Transport Secretary sent a positive reply to my letter asking for Government funding for Swanage Railway. Mr Shapps said the council and railway must work together to be ready to submit their development plans when the application process is opened. More rain today really is not helpful, especially to those flooded areas, already reeling from unprecedented levels of water. Again, my sympathies extend to all those affected. I long for the sunshine!
