Over the weekend, the Secretary of State for the Environment and Rural Affairs announced that Defra will be taking control of general licence policy at the request of Natural England.
The Government is now seeking evidence on how badly the revocation of the three general licences (GL04, GL05, GL06) has affected individuals as well as their livestock and wildlife.
Defra are specifically asking for:
- Evidence of the requirements for the continuation of the revoked general licences
- Evidence for the problems that have and will occur as a result of the revocation
- Specific examples of loss
The use of videos and photos will be permitted as part of evidence, which can either be submitted via email or post.
The call for evidence will close on Monday 13 May at 5pm
