Our annual Association AGM is always well attended, and this year was no exception. It started outside, when I found my caseworker Hennie Weld in the road caring for an elderly gentlemen who'd fallen on the ice. Pulling over, I joined about five local people and Hennie who had now arrived at the scene. An ambulance was called and arrived in about 30 minutes. The poor gentleman was in pain and clearly cold, although we covered him with coats and blankets. We could not move him because of the pain. I left as the excellent paramedics took over and he was soon on his way to DCH. The hall in Wool was packed as I walked in and I had time to grab a coffee and bacon roll before our President began the meeting. Clearly, it was a confidential meeting, where we discussed many issues and I addressed the Members for about 30 minutes and took questions.
