Up early and out for a run. Finance Bill continued throughout the day. Had the great pleasure of meeting a remarkable young girl in the afternoon at a reception for air ambulances across the country. Maisie Sheridan was 11 when she was hit by a van in Weymouth. The swift reaction of the Dorset & Somerset air ambulance and its crew without doubt ensured that Maisie received the treatment she needed as fast as possible. Maisie was accompanied by her lovely Mum Ali Cairney, both of whom appeared to enjoy the event, which saw the minister giving a brief address to thank all those who fly and work with this amazing service. Maisie is now getting on with her young life, having made a remarkable recovery. It was a great honour to meet her and her Mum.
