Another busy day in the House before it rises for a further three weeks for the Party conference season. Had to cancel a meeting with the Weymouth job centre, which I will re-organise. Also keen to promote the Airborne Initiative, whereby prisoners are taken on to the moors in Devon and put through a week of military-style exercises to help prevent re-offending. It's proving successful and I am very keen to debate this in the House. Anything that can cut down on re-offending must be good. The cost to the State and of course the harm to the victim must be worth every effort. Also helping to raise funds for an important regeneration project on Portland. On to the bike and back to Dorset by 2000.
