After an early start, I had a visit from the Dorset police firearms' department. They regularly check shotguns and licence holders across the county and it was my turn. Nothing out of place, I am glad to report. A stint in the office, before mounting my motorbike and heading to Weymouth to visit the Samaritans. What a wonderful organisation it is. There are more than 40 volunteers in Weymouth and they are looking for more. Without mentioning any names, as they work anonymously, I chatted to several volunteers before being ushered downstairs for tea and cake. One of the team had made a delicious chocolate cake and I would not refuse that. Afterwards, I drove to ASDA for one of my regular surgeries. Clearly, these sessions are strictly confidential.
