Up early and into the office. Plenty to do. At 0900 I headed to Bovington to meet the new headmaster at the primary school. I became good friends of the previous head, Juliet Muir, who was an outstanding head and ran a tight ship. I was soon equally impressed by the new head, Kris Winthorpe. Affable and charming, we chatted for some time about education matters, before I was brought before the school council was a question and answer session. As is always the case, the children ask pertinent questions and I give fulsome and straight answers. Both sides appear to enjoy these occasions and today was no exception. Many other constituency matters kept me buys all afternoon.
