From Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab comes the expected news that the lock-down will probably have to continue. Mr Raab said said the UK's plan "is working" but that "we are still not past the peak of this virus". There's also talk of using face masks. Concerns are being raised about care homes and increasing numbers of occupants getting COVID-19. Some have sadly died. The Prime Minister continues his recovery from coronavirus at his official country residence, Chequers. The parents of one of the nurses he singled out for particular praise have been speaking of their pride in their daughter. Spain, one of the country’s worst hit by the coronavirus, is beginning to ease strict lock-down measures that have brought its economy to a standstill. People in manufacturing, construction and some services are being allowed to return to work but must stick to strict safety guidelines. The rest of the population must still remain at home. That's a question being raised here more and more frequently. When and how do we lift our draconian restrictions? With parliament due to reconvene on the 21st, the Speaker is looking at ways of creating a virtual parliament. And, finally, the latest coronavirus statistics, as at 1600, are that Dorset Council has 198 confirmed cases, Bournemouth, Poole & Christchurch 216 confirmed cases, while the whole county has sadly recorded 74 deaths in hospitals. A gloomy message on Easter Monday, but out there there are so many uplifting stories.
