A run, good breakfast in the Commons and through the routine stuff by 1000, when I went to meet my new Whip. They change every so often. Mine is the charming Michele Donelan and she listened patiently as I listed my points and concerns. A working lunch at my desk and then across to PCH for a meeting with one of the Brexit groups to discuss; yes, you've guessed it - Brexit. These meetings are in confidence. At 1710 I and my junior assistant went to meet Lord Agnew, who is in charge of Academies. I wished to discuss education in S Dorset generally and raise one or two specific issues that I have been talking to headteachers about. At 1800 another Brexit group, the ERG, met in the Thatcher Room for our weekly catch up. Sadly, Jacob Rees-Mogg was not present as his house was under threat from an organisation calling itself Class War. I think the less said about this lot, the better. I am glad to say that only a handful turned up and they did not attempt to break the law, but were just deeply offensive to Jacob and his family verbally.
