Another windy day. Fortunately, though, the rain held off. So, taking a risk, out came the motorbike and off to Wool, where I met up with councillors and volunteers. Armed with our present Police & Crime Commissioner's leaflet, I then drove to Portland and spent some time chatting to local people and leafleting. I so enjoy climbing the hill up to the top and then looking west along the coastline. What a view. I met one constituent who I listened to carefully, before saying I would do all I could to bring peace of mind. In other news, two planes on the tarmac at Heathrow Airport collided, causing damage to their wings. From the picture, it looked as if the pilot in one plane had turned too sharply into his parking bay. And dozens of flights were cancelled as Storm Kathleen brought strong winds and the warmest day of the year so far to the UK. Abroad, the body of a hostage abducted during the October 7 attacks was recovered in Gaza, the Israel Defence Forces said.
