Having spoken last week on the Queen's Speech, I decided to remain in Dorset and catch up on a mass of post election correspondence. There's always a pile of it, some congratulatory, some seeking help for their particular cause, and others from constituents seeking confirmation on future Government policy or questioning the direction of travel. We were also on a one-line whip, which means we don't have to be in the House. I'm heading back to the Commons tomorrow.
