Police funding was the centre of my attention today. But before I got to my feet to deliver my speech, I dealt with routine matters in the morning until I dropped down to the Chamber for the weekly punch-up between the PM and Mr Corbyn. Again, the PM did a fine job and Mr Corbyn's verbal attacks amounted to nothing serious. The three hour debate on police funding started shortly after PMQs and there were several speakers. The speech itself is on my website, so I will not explore the issues here. Other than to say that Dorset has been very poorly funded for years and it really is time we had at least a fair share of the cake. That's all we ask for. I also praised the Chief Constable, all her officers, and Mr Underhill and his team.
