Back from the weekend with my daughter and into a suit for the Mayor of Weymouth & Portland's Carol Service at St John's, Greenhill, at 1830. Mayor Richard Kosior and his lovely wife Caroline were both on fine form and ably supported by a DL and other members of the Chain Gang, as they are known. Father Philip Elliott took the Service, which was traditional and to the point. The church was pretty full, which always makes a difference, and the small choir sang their hearts out. Afterwards, we all gathered at the end of the church for a small drink and a chat. I spent a fun 45 minutes or so before everyone began to leave, heading home in the cold, damp air. A fitting end to a busy and fun weekend.
