A busy morning catching up with constituency matters. I then risked my motorcycle, despite the appalling weather forecast. I drove down to Portland to visit a lady who'd been burgled just before Christmas. In addition, her house was trashed and all her presents stolen. She was still in deep shock, which is quite understandable. Of course, the police were involved but she hadn't heard from them for a while and I reassured her by saying that I would speak to a senior officer. I do hope the police catch the culprit because this is not the first time that her home has been targeted. By the time I left, the rain had started and continued during my ride back to Winfrith. There I met up with my Association chairman and chatted for some time about political matters. I also caught up with my caseworker Julie Jackson, who is getting her feet under the desk. There were several constituency matters and diary events to plan. I arrived back in my office a little damp and settled down to work through until 8pm.
