Investment
- We are the number one destination in Europe for foreign investment.
- Since June 2016, UK tech companies have received over £5 billion in venture capitalist funding – more than France (£1.55bn), Germany (£2.15bn) and Sweden (£644m) combined
Exports
- The latest ONS figures show our country’s exports at a high of £637 billion. In the year to August 2018, UK exports in goods and services totalled £637 billion, up £33 billion compared to the same time last year.
- Over the next five years, 90% of economic growth is predicted to take place outside the EU.
- Our trade patterns are already changing. Ten years ago, more than half of our exports went to the EU. In 2017, only 45.5% of our goods and services went to the EU, with 54.5% going to non-EU countries.
- We are now exporting more services than goods to countries outside the EU. Put simply, the world wants what Britain is selling.
