I was struck by an interesting and thought-provoking article by the Daily Mail's Stephen Glover on Thursday. He was questioning how Cameron pledged a free vote on hunting in our 2010 election manifesto, but made no reference at all to redefining marriage. The first piece of legislation was an act of vindictiveness, which even Blair now regrets. The second will be equally shameful as Cameron uses his Prime Ministerial office - a position of trust - to crush the strongly held view of millions of people in this country that marriage can only be between a man and a woman. Cameron says one thing and does another. That is not good for our country, our party or our constituents.
