I wish to make it clear that I believe in a free press and I will oppose any moves to shackle it. As talks continue between the three main political Parties following the Leveson Report, a Labour amendment in the House of Lords threatens to derail any chance of concensus. Labour and the Lib Dems are more in favour of legislation of one type or another, I fear because they see this as a chance to muzzle the terrier of truth which continues to unearth all kinds of revelations that make uncomfortable reading. What worries me most is that the louder the calls for curbs on the press, the more I know for a fact there's something to hide.
