Well, well, who would have thought it? French soldiers Changing the Guard at Buckingham Palace, while my former Regiment, the Coldstream Guards, reciprocated in France. And all to mark the 120th anniversary of the Entente Cordiale.
Another windy day. Fortunately, though, the rain held off. So, taking a risk, out came the motorbike and off to Wool, where I met up with councillors and volunteers.
The National Coastwatch volunteers are literally the salt of the earth. I am clearly biased, but the three teams along my constituency coastline are the most special.
Tributes were paid to the three British victims of an Israeli air strike in Gaza. Four other aid workers were also killed. The full facts are not known and the Israelis said an investigation had been launched. Rishi Sunak, meanwhile, was facing growing pressure over UK arms' sales to Israel.
Easter break over, I headed to Weymouth on yet another overcast day. I was visiting the Veterans' Hub on Portland Road to catch up with veteran Andy Price, who founded the project. The work Andy has done is remarkable and over 1,000 veterans from all over the country pass through.
Will the rain and wind ever stop? In atrocious conditions, I drove to a constituent's home in Lulworth to discuss a new health idea with the CEO of the wonderful charity Lewis-Manning Hospice Care.
The final day before the Easter break. A quick annual check with the Doc before heading into the Commons for a busy morning. I had two important virtual meetings, one a surgery issue, the other about the migrant barge in Portland Port.
