SIR - William Hague ("With Brexit looming, it worth considering the worst-case scenario," Comment, September 11) implies that MPs like me who wish to honour the referendum are playing "Russian roulette".
He writes about the "national Interest" as if a flawed compromise, one that leaves us neither in nor out of the EU, must be accepted in order to avoid political meltdown.
Leaving the EU is in our national interest.
Ensuring that politicians follow through on a manifesto promise and a vote is equally important if our democracy is to mean anything at all.
