The news that Leicester is to be plunged back into lock-down as concerns grow over a significant rise in Covid-19 cases is disheartening. If these spikes can be controlled locally, all the better, as we simply cannot shut the country down again. In more encouraging news, the Prime Minister will makes a speech tomorrow where he will explain his recovery plan post pandemic. A figure of £5 billion is being reported, which will be spent on hospitals, roads, rail, prisons, courts, schools and high streets. As always, a steady flow of constituency matters kept me and my parliamentary team busy.
