Up early and into the park for a long run. Old army habits don't die easily! Dentist and haircut and into the Commons to get sworn in. This has to be done in the Chamber before you can take part in anything. You don't get paid, either. That done, I entertained my great team to lunch, before returning to my office to begin dealing with the mass of correspondence that has already filled my in-box. Then, at 1500, I headed to CR 14 to hear the PM speak to the '22 Committee. As you can imagine, Mr Johnson got a hero's welcome, and I have to say I have never experienced anything like it in the nine years I have been here. Richly deserved. Back to my desk to 1800, then out for supper.
