The search for missing Gaia Pope goes on. After a busy morning, I headed to Highcliffe Castle Golf Club to speak to my colleague's Association in the neighbouring Seat of Christchurch. After a good lunch, I addressed more than 70 members, who had a mass of questions to follow up on. During the session I was interrupted by one of the staff, to be told Gaia's family wanted to meet me. This followed the letter I wrote to Gaia's Mum, Natasha. Without hesitation, I bade my farewells and drove to Wareham to pick up my caseworker Hennie Weld. Together we went to the cafe Deja Brew, run by the lovely Jen Sadler. She had kindly allowed her cafe to be used as a meeting place for search volunteers and I was the recipient of a free tea, which was so kind of her. I met Marienna Pope-Weidemann and together we walked round to an office at Chococo, where again the staff kindly provided teas and chocolates for us all. We were joined by Gaia's Father, Richard Sutherland, and together we talked through the whole sad tale. The conversation was in confidence. I learnt that the search was to continue tomorrow. I headed home full of foreboding.
