After dealing with some routine matters in the office, I headed to Dorchester to meet the CEO of DCH, the most able and charming Patricia Miller. These actual meetings are held in confidence, but it will not surprise you to hear that we touched on the recent CCH health review and other matters related to it. Afterwards, I joined one of my team Suzy at Weymouth College, where we met Principal Nigel Evans and his team to discuss Apprenticeship Week and the on-going fair, now in its fifth year. The College has organised a full and busy week, which will inform and benefit many young people. This year they are taking a bus out to schools, where advisers can talk to students about future careers and apprenticeships. I then held one of my regular surgeries at Weymouth, this time in the new council offices. Finally, I headed to Portland to canvass with one of our two excellent borough council candidates. It was extremely cold! But the feedback was not and we finally drew stumps before 2000 after a good session.
