For the fourth time in nine years, I face another general election (GE). There's something invigorating about a GE; this is our democracy in action and, despite the timing, I am confident that most people understand why one has been called. I was out and about today and had some interesting conversations with constituents (I am still officially the MP until 0001 Thursday) on a whole range of subjects. There was generally a warm reception, even from two Labour voters, who understandably cannot change allegiances, just as I cannot. The weather was not exactly benign but I battled on and much enjoyed meeting residents.
