There's a distinct end of term feel to Parliament as we all attempt to clear our desks, as far as that is possible, before heading to our constituencies to fight the general election. Today I spent going through a mass of constituency matters and attended a lunch generously hosted by ITV, which was seeking MPs' views on their coverage. Their head of news was accompanied by the head of PR, both extremely charming, and we had an interesting lunch. I was joined by four other colleagues and the conversation was most fascinating. Government business ended a little earlier than normal and I headed home at about 1900.
