Today was Weymouth College's 6th Apprenticeship Fair. Amazing how time flies. The College generously hosts this annual event, which is a chance for apprentices to be recognised and for those thinking of becoming an apprentice to meet and talk to businesses. My guest speaker this year was an extraordinary many called Jim Cregan. Young, dynamic and full of energy, Jim co-founded Jimmy's Iced Coffee Ltd eight years ago after enjoying an iced coffee in Australia where he was bumming around with his girlfriend. His story is inspirational and he gave a wonderful address which put a smile on all our faces. Afterwards, the awards were given out by the Mayor. I was given the privilege to present the top award, which went to Tracey Anderson, who did a teaching apprentice at Bincombe Valley Primary School. It was a fun and entertaining morning and a great success. I cannot thank Principal Nigel Evans and his team enough for organising and running the event. Can't wait for next year.
