Early morning run and into the office. Lots to do - mainly constituency matters - before entering the Chamber at about 1135 for PMQs. Another noisy session, with Corbyn launching into an attack no tax-breaks for private plane owners. A working lunch at my desk and then to Committee Room 19 for our first meeting of the European Scrutiny Committee. Not sure why it has taken so long to put this committee together, but there we go. We first voted for a Chairman, which rightly went uncontested to Sir Bill Cash, who has done more for our great country than most other MPs put together. He's fought the EU for decades and the referendum vote was a personal triumph for him and our country. With hundreds of EU documents to work through, it was decided to hold until after the November recess. Meanwhile, Labour was attempting to rattle a cage or two during their Opposition Day debates. We were instructed to abstain. Back to Dorset.
