France is mourning this morning as hundreds of firefighters continue to watch over a smouldering Notre-Dame Cathedral. The devastating fire began last night at about 1800. A large part of the roof and spire have been destroyed, along with many valuable artefacts. An investigation has begun but it's thought the fire started by accident. President Macron has sworn to rebuild the historic, 850 year old building, which is, to many, the iconic symbol of France. A very sad day and sympathetic messages continue to pour in from around the world. Meanwhile, I continue to prepare for my Mum's funeral, which is tomorrow.
