The top civil servant at the Department for Education has also now been sacked. Jonathan Slater was due to stand down next year but will now leave the Department by next week. This while further unrest erupts in the city of Kenosha, Wisconsin, after 29-year-old Jacob Blake was shot by police. Protests since the shooting have turned violent, with two people killed and one injured on Tuesday night. A 17-year-old youth has been arrested.
