Up to London to the House, which is becoming more and more covered in scaffolding as the work continues. The rumours that the Jurassica project is failing needed to be investigated, so I did. I was relieved to hear that rather than folding it had in fact teamed up with another project on Portland called MEMO. Jurassica was the dream-child of Michael Hanlon, who sadly died. The project was to be based in a former quarry, "celebrating the sea monsters and geological heritage of our Jurassic Coast. Now the plan is to create a single, world-class visitor centre, costing c£15.8 million. MEMO was originally intended to exhibit the planet's biodiversity, but now the pair have come together and will be located in the cavernous, underground tunnels created by Albion Stone. It's a novel idea and I hope for everyone's sake it comes off.
