I am truly shocked and sickened this morning at the news of yet another attack on innocent people in London. It's reported that seven people are dead and nearly 50 injured. It beggars belief how anyone could behave like this. Naturally, all my thoughts and prayers extend to the victims and their families and friends. Once again, I wish to praise the police for their courageous action, which saw the three attackers shot dead within eight minutes of the alarm being raised. Our thanks and admiration must also include the emergency services and members of the public, some of whom I understand were able to fight back. This is the third attack of its kind in three months and the pattern is concerning, to say the least. What can one do to prevent lone-wolf attacks like these? Anyone can climb into a vehicle and use it as a weapon whenever they want. I know our security services are working flat out and have been remarkably successful in preventing other attacks in recent months. What a sad, sad day. Our flag here at home once again flies at half-mast.
