A run and into the office.
Redrafted my weekly newspaper column a tad, before preparing to make a speech in the badger debate.
In the Chamber at about 11.50am for the start of the debate.
Caroline Lucas MP opened proceedings with a very inaccurate assessment of the situation, which did her little credit.
Sadly, I could not remain in the Chamber because I had a long-standing speaking commitment in Dorset and I could not break it.
Labour, aso some of us feared.
As you can imagine, there was considerable anger among Tory MPs over the way this was handled.
Anyone who disrespects a vote in the Mother of all Parliaments is either a fool or arrogant, or worse, both.
I appreciate this is the way that politics is played but it's time it stopped and integrity returned to our tormented Palace.
Importantly, it shows a total disregard to our constituents that debates are ignored by the executive.
I hope lessons will be learnt from this episode.
Heavy traffic meant I arrived at my speaking engagement in Weymouth a little late.
But staff at The Rembrandt Hotel did a wonderful job, making both me and the rest of their guests feel totally at home.
It was a fun evening. Eventually fell into bed at about midnight.
