Up early and into London.
Straight to the office where the usual pile of work awaited.
Spent some time working on a new website, our previous designer having closed his business.
Also worked on the first draft of my weekly column, this one sparked by the protest of many Royal Marines at the arrest of five of their number for allegedly killing a Taliban prisoner.
I am delighted that Dr Ian Mew, a fellow campaigner trying to save the Portland helicopter, is also going to give evidence at the Transport Select Committee next Monday.
Trouble brewing for the PM as a number of backbenchers, including me, have put their name to an amendment to the EU Multiannual Financial Framework being debated tomorrow.
In simple terms, we are calling for the EU budget to be cut, whereas the PM is happy to accept it rises in line with inflation.
We are tired of this whole EU debacle and it's time we put our foot down. We can't tell the police and others to accept cuts when the EU continues to demand more and more money.
The PM has to show some mettle and reveal in what direction of travel he intends to go. His premiership and ultimately our chance of winning the next election hang on it.
Worked through until 7.30pm and then home.
