My heart goes out to the families and friends of those affected by both yesterday's terror attack outside the House of Commons and the collapse of the motorway bridge in Genoa, Northern Italy. We know a little more about the man who carried out the first attack, namely who he is, but can only guess at this motivation. Worryingly, we are told there are 700 live investigations into potential terror attacks on-going now. That's sobering. As always, the police cannot be praised enough for the courageous way they rushed in to apprehend the man. They did not know whether he was armed, or not, and they certainly did not know whether the car was about to explode. Meanwhile, in Italy, it's feared that nearly 40 people have been killed as their vehicles plunged 150 feet to the ground after the bridge collapsed. An inquiry has been launched and I hope the rumours that the concrete was poorly mixed are not true. Time will tell.
